Now that the 2nd boston marathon bombing suspect is in custody why don’t we strap him to a treadmill at a 4:41 pace for 26.2...
This wasn’t my favorite ride but it’s done. Met up with Rachelle U. and Kate E. in Loveland today and couldn’t have really asked for better weather. It rained for maybe 5 minutes when we finally got on the path but other than that it was awesome. Apparently, as the girls told me, I didn’t eat enough beforehand. We stopped at mile 8 because I needed to fix something on my bike and as soon as I hopped off it I got very dizzy. Few minutes later I was ok(ish) so we kept on truckin’. I had to stop again at mile 13 because I was getting really sick and we turned around. I always have the fear that I’m going to eat too much and regret it while I’m out so I tend to err on the side of caution but today that apparently caught up to me. Definitely not the end of the world by any means, just a learning experience. Apparently a banana before the morning run followed by a bagel and hard boiled egg after isn’t enough. Now I know better.
Also saw Diane B. shortly after we took off, hope you could hear my mumbled yell of a hello :)
Avg speed: 13.4 mph
Max speed: 18.7 mph (Rachelle was right beside me and I wanted to get home!)
Avg HR: 178 bpm
Max HR: 195 bpm—> gone down 20 pts thanks to the HR training I’ve been doing the past few months :)
Obviously I’m not too thrilled with this ride, but it is further than I went the last time I met with the girls, and maybe a hair faster as well. Now all I want to do is eat everything in sight since I’m finally hungry. Maybe I’ll do my Do-Life weigh in and pics before that though?! I think so! Now I’m off to de-stink myself :)
Cant wait to see the progress of all you fellow Do-Lifers the next few days, I bet you’re all making awesome progress— I have so much confidence in you all!
